Peshawar ASO seizes non duty paid goods worth Rs185m during November

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Collectorate Peshawar seized various smuggled goods during the month of November 2016-17 amounting to Rs.185 million.

Sources of MCC Peshawar that performance of Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Peshawar shoed outstanding performance in November, adding that during said above said period ASO seized 10 huge consignments of smuggled goods under jurisdiction of MCC Peshawar.

Sources said that during the month of November the ASO seized 33311 yards of foreign origin cloth amounting Rs.94.60 million adding that during same period the ASO seized 3018 kilograms of black tea amounting 1.480 million.

Sources said that during month of November ASO seized 937 numbers of various type of tires and tubes amounting Rs.3.864 million adding that during same period the ASO staff seized 21 numbers of Liquor bottles of different foreign origin brands amounting Rs.0.073 million sources further said that ASO seized different Auto spare parts amounting Rs.4.163 million.

Sources told that during above said period the ASO seized 1.763 kilogram of gold/silver amounting Rs.7.500 million while ASO team also seized fake cigarettes 33689 dandas amounting to Rs.15.83 million.

Sources said that in November the ASO seized 2614 numbers of electronic goods amounting to Rs.0.66 million adding that during above said period the ASO seized 141000 pirated CDs and DVDs amounting to Rs.4.312 millions.

Sources said that during above said period ASO Peshawar seized 8013 kilogram of scrape amounting Rs.2.897 million and also seized 350 kilogram of Gutka amounting Rs.2.458 million adding that during November ASO also seized 150 mobile phones amounting Rs.0.68 million as for as seized other miscellaneous smuggled goods amounting to Rs 24.753 million.
