Peshawar Collector Qurban to attend departmental training in Islamabad

PESHAWAR: After serving Customs Peshawar for three years, Collector Peshawar Modal Custom Collectorate Qurban Ali Khan transferred from Peshawar owing to his departmental training in Islamabad.

Spokesperson MCC Peshawar Fazal Bacha told Custom Today that Qurban Ali Khan leave Peshawar for his departmental training of four months and now it is depend upon Federal Bureau of Revenue that who will assume charge as collector Peshawar.

Collector Qurban Ali was hailing from Shabqadar area of Peshawar and in last two he has significantly contributed for FBR and took number of steps to increase revenue of the customs house.

He always surpassed the revenue target assigned to him from the Federal Bureau of revenue. During his time of office he established cordial relationship with business community and importers. He strengthened the border check posts by installing modern scanners at Torkham and also contributed in the establishment of national logistic cell.

Besides this the he was also active to visit deferent border areas of Torkham, Ghulam Khan and Kurram Agency. He opened trade and custom activities on Kharlachi Check Post of Kurram Agency and met with delegation of deferent areas of Kurram Agency and resolves their issues of terminals and dry ports.

It is to mention here that the people of the area demanding his re-appointment after completion of his training as he was much familiar with the issues facing to the people at dry port and Custom House.
