Peshawar Customs collected Rs1579.7183m during August

PESHAWAR: The Customs House Peshawar collected Rs1579.7183 million during the month of August FY 2017-18 in which it has collected Rs54 million more revenue than the collections of previous month of July 2017-18.

The Collector Customs Gul Rehman at Peshawar has expressed that the Customs House Peshawar has performed brilliantly and the credit goes to the whole of customs staff working hard at MCC.

According to details the Customs Peshawar generated Rs609.16 million revenue by collecting customs duty during the month of August and collected Rs386.053 million sales tax during the same period of time till 31 August FY 2017-18.

The Peshawar received Rs 359.98 million AIT and was able to do federal excise duty (FED) of Rs14.9891 million during the whole month of August.

With respect to Customs Stations attached with MCC Peshawar various Customs station were able to achieve the target of revenue collection in the month of August.

According to details Peshawar Collectorate received Rs631.132 million revenue from the Dry Port Peshawar in the month of August while it has surpassed the revenue collection of previous year in the month of August FY 2016-17.

The Bond Ware House Peshawar generated an amount of Rs240.49 million during the month of August and collected Rs17 million more revenue than it collected in the month of August in previous FY 2016-17. The Torkham Customs Station collected Rs497.125 million.

The Torkham Customs station foiled many bids to curb smuggling and also added valuable amount to the account of National exchequer.

The Peshawar AFU generated Rs 14.266 million during the month of August and have showed decline in revenue collection with respect to collection made in the month of July 2017-18.

The Hazara Customs station has collected Rs 72.356 million during the month of August in which it has collected certain amount of more revenue from the previous FY’s collection of August.

The Kohat State Warehouse has generated an amount of Rs 36.252 in the whole month of August in which it has showed surplus amount of revenue collection with respect to the collections made in the month of August in previous FY 2016-17.
