ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar generated Rs1109.94million all duty taxes during the month of March of Financial Year 2016-17.
According to details told by Additional Collector Fazle Samad that during the month of March FY2016-17, the Collectorate of MCC Peshawar collected Rs441.98million gross collection of Customs Duty whereas the MCC Peshawar did Rs241.86million Sales Tax on imports.
The MCCP received Rs180.92million Sales Tax levied as Federal Excise Duty on palm oil while it did Rs18.50million Federal Excise Duty on imports during March 2016-17.
During above said period the collectorate earned Rs194.40million Additional Income Tax and With Holding Tax during March FY201617. The Additional Collector said the matters relating to Torkham border are being resolved rapidly and the import and export activities will become better after the stability at the International Pak-Afghan Border.
