Peshawar Customs collects Rs1512m during July

PESHAWAR: Customs Collectorate in head of various duties collected Rs1447.48 million against Rs1512 millions of July 2017 previous year having difference of minus 95.51 million while the difference in percentage was minus 6.31 percent.

As per the statistic of Peshawar Custom House, in head of custom duties the house collected Rs531.02 million against previous year July 2017 of Rs490.25 million with difference Rs40.77 million while the difference in percentage was 8.32 percent.

In head of sale tax the house collected Rs424.17 million in July 2018 against Rs377.53 million of July 2017 having deference Rs46.64 million while the difference in percentage was 12.37 percent.

Similarly in head of sale tax levied as federal excise duty on palm oil, the Collectorate collected Rs68.7 million against Rs203.84 million of July 2017 having difference of minus Rs135.77 million while the difference in percentage minus 66.61 percent.

Likewise in head of federal excise duty on import the house collected Rs6.75 million against Rs15.92 million against July 2017. The difference in rupee was minus Rs9.17 million while the difference in percentage was minus 57.60 percent.

In head of withholding tax (WHT) the house collected Rs322.33 million against Rs371.7 million of July 2017 having difference of minus Rs48.74 million while the difference in percentage minus 13.13 percent.

The overall performance of the house was not satisfactory except custom duty as the house does not achieve its monthly target of previous years and a total difference of minus 79 .83 million was noticed.
