Peshawar Customs collects Rs 6,824.14m from July to November 15 in fiscal year 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar collected Rs 6,824.14 million from July to November 15 during the fiscal year 2016-17.

Sources told Customs Today that during the period the Collectorate collected Rs 2,198.03 million under the head of customs duty and Rs 2.07 million as withholding tax (WHT).

Sources said that MCC collected Rs 239.43 million under the head of miscellaneous duty taxes from July to 15 November 16-17 while Rs.118.55 million  were collected under the head of regulatory duty on imports.

It is said that during the above said period the MCC collected Rs.30.57 million as additional duty surcharge while MCC collected an amount of Rs 2,588.70 million under the head of total customs duty from July to 15th November16-17.

Sources said that during the above said period Customs Collectorate collected sales tax amounting to Rs.1499 million while it collected Rs.1499.14 million under the head of total sales tax, sources added that MCC collected amount of Rs.224.46 million as sales tax on imports and Rs.534.46 million with as sales tax on palm oil.

Sources said that MCC collected revenue of Rs.1442.33 million under head of additional income tax (AIT) from July to 15th November 2016-17.

Sources said that during the above said period MCC Peshawar collected amount of Rs.6.10 million under head of federal excise duty on imports (FED).
