Peshawar Customs foils bid to steal consignment destined for Torkham border

PESHAWAR: TPL Trakker in-coordination with Directorate of Transit Trade (DTT) and Customs Preventive has foiled an attempt to steal a consignment destined for Torkham border.

Sources told that TPL has been working with Pakistan Customs for the past 5 years and has recovered numerous consignments to help customs prevent smuggling and pilferage.

Sources further told that an alert was received by TPL from Peshawar Ring Road KPK on which prompt action was taken. It was found that some armed persons tried to stop the container and started firing on the vehicle and shot the driver who is in critical condition.

TPL immediately started the recovery operation and moved response teams and Custom MEU’S towards the container’s location. Container is currently safely in Custom’s custody.
