Peshawar Customs generates Rs1221m revenue during February

PESHAWAR: The Custom Collectorate Peshawar generated Rs1221 million revenue collection in the month of February 2018 as compare to Rs1413 million of February 2017 having difference of minus 192 million against while difference in percentage was minus 12.60 percent.

According to official figures the house collected Rs454.15 million in head of custom duties against Rs513.17 million with difference of minus Rs59.02 million while the difference in percentage was minus 8.64 percent. Under head of sale tax on import the Collectorate collected Rs351.23 million against as compare Rs373. 39 million of February 2017 figures, the difference in rupees was noticed minus 22.15 million while the difference in percentage was recorded minus 5.93 percent.

In head of sale tax levied as federal excise duty on palm oil the house collected 151.20 million in February 2018 as compare to 171.52 million of February 2017. The difference in rupees was minus 20 million while the difference in percentage was minus 11.85 percent.

Under head of sale tax value addition on commercial importers, the house collected Rs48.82 million in February 2018 as compare to Rs57.99 million in February 2017. The difference in rupees was minus 9.17 million while the difference in percentage was minus 15.18 percent.

In head of federal excise duty (FED) on import the house collected Rs11.64 million in February 2018 against previous year Rs15.55 million of year February 2017. The difference in rupees was minus 3.91 percent while the difference was minus 25 percent.

In head of withholding tax the Collectorate collected 204.60 million in February 2018 against 282.11 million in February 2017. The difference in rupees was minus 77.51 while the difference in percentage was minus 27 .48 percent.

The overall performance of the house was not satisfactory and it failed to achieve all its targets in February 2018 as compare to the previous year this month.
