Peshawar Customs generates Rs1940.88m through duty & taxes

PESHAWAR: Customs Collectorate collected Rs1940.88 million against target of Rs1778.2 million with difference of 162.68 percent while the difference in percentage was minus 7.56 percent.

In head of custom duty the Collectorate collected Rs728.08 against Rs831.60 with difference of minus Rs103.52 million while the difference in percentage was minus 12.45 percent.  In head of sale tax the house collected Rs620.98 million against the target Rs549.40 million having difference of 71.58 percent while the difference in percentage 13.03 percent.

Similarly in head of federal excise duty the Colletorate collected 4.56 against the target of Rs14.0 million having difference of minus Rs9.35 million while the difference in percentage was minus 66.70 percent.

In term of withholding tax the house collected Rs587.17 million against the Rs383.20 million having difference of 53.23 percent while the difference in rupee was recorded Rs203.97 million.

The overall performance of the Collectorate was satisfactory as the house witnessed rise in its monthly target with 9.15 percent.
