Peshawar Customs generates Rs517.47m during first two weeks of January

ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Customs collected Rs517.47 million during 1st January to 15th January of financial year 2016-17 under the head of all duty taxes including customs duty, sales tax, reduction duty, export development surcharge additional income tax and federal excise duty on imports.

Customs official told Customs Today that during first half of January the collectorate collected Rs173.89 million under the head of customs duty as for as Peshawar Customs collected Rs18.76 million under the head of miscellaneous duty surcharges adding that the Collectorate collected revenue Rs8.71 million under head of reduction duty on imported items.

Sources added that during corresponding period the collectorate collected Rs1.75 million in the wake of export development surcharges Pakistan adding that, during said period the department collected Rs202.81 million under the head of total customs duty.

Sources further told that during said period the collectorate collected Rs154.59 million as sales tax as for as the said Collectorate collected Rs23.53 million under the head of sales tax on imports as for as the collectorate collected Rs74.44 million in the wake of sales tax on palm oil. Peshawar Customs collected Rs92.70 million under the head of additional income tax as for as it collected revenue Rs44.42 million under head of additional income tax on imports and collectorate collected Rs7.72 million on federal excise duty on imports of 01 per Kilogram.
