Peshawar customs holds auction of impounded cars in presence of collector

PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar carried out an auction of impounded cars at the Customs House Peshawar on Monday in the presence of Collector of Customs Qurban Ali Khan.

Collector of Customs’ PRO Fazal Bacha told Customs Today that the collector himself went to the auction site and spent time to observe the situation of the activity.

He said the orders of collector empower the SRO to share facts and data with media-persons.

The statistical department the MCC Peshawar said the details would be provided next day about the number of cars sold out in the day’s activity and the amount received.

The Customs House serves as federal entity and collects tax for the federal government through different customs stations and regional collectorates.

A document issued by the MCC Peshawar about the detail of cars at warehouse Peshawar stated that there were three cars of Toyota Corolla with different models and condition including Lot No: 02/PR-E/Veh/11-I/2016  D.A #. 129-E/2011 Make & Model Toyota Corolla Car-1999 Chassis No: CE100-9008741.

Lot No.01/PR-E/Veh/12-I/2016 D.A #. 135-E/2007 Make & Model Toyota Corolla Car Model 1986  Chassis No: AE81-6403157.

Lot No: 03/PR-E/Veh/12-II/2016 D.A #. 193-E/2015 Corolla Car Model Toyota Corolla “X” Model 2005 Chassis No: NZE121-0407063.

Apart from them, two cars of Mercedes Benz where one was van and other bullet proof.
