Peshawar Customs receives Rs422.19m supple revenue during June

PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar earned Rs422.19million supplementary revenue under the head of All Duty Taxes during June of Financial Year FY2016-17 against the collection of the same period of corresponding Financial Year 15-16. The collectorate received Rs2348.77million of All Duty Taxes during June of FY16-17 whereas it did Rs1926.58million during June of FY15-16 under the same head.

According to Qurban Ali Khan, Collector MCC Peshawar, the collectorate showed tremendous performance during the month of June FY16-17 against the same period of FY15-16. The collectorate generated Rs1182.32million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas the collectorate did Rs941.58million under the same head during corresponding FY15-16.

The collector told CT that during June of FY16-17, the collectorate collected Rs541.52million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs501.72million under the same head during June of FY15-16. Likewise the collectorate earned Rs39.80million more revenue during June FY16-17 against the collection of corresponding month of June of FY15-16.

It was told that the MCC Peshawar received Rs187.44million of ST levied as Federal Excise Duty (FED) (Palm oil) whereas it earned Rs165.51million during the same period of June FY15-16. The MCC Peshawar got Rs21.93million extra amount under the same head against corresponding FY15-16.

He said the MCCP generated Rs71.25million of ST value Addition on commercial imports during June of FY16-17 whereas it collected Rs60.32million under the same head during the same period of corresponding FY15-16. The MCCP received Rs10.93million against corresponding year under the same head.

Qurban Ali told CT that the MCC Peshawar got Rs1.48million extra FED during June FY16-17 against corresponding period. During FY16-17, the collectorate collected Rs20.81million of FED and it did Rs19.33 during June FY15-16. The MCCP earned Rs345.43million of Additional Income Tax (AIT)/ With Holding Tax (WHT) during June FY16-17 whereas it earned Rs238.12million under the same head during June FY15-16.

The collectorate generated extra revenue of Rs107.31million in June FY16-17 under the same head against the collection during FY2015-16 under the head of AIT/WHT.
