Peshawar Customs recovers 1,600 iPhones worth Rs 50 million

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar has recovered 1,600 iPhones and smart phones worth Rs 50 million and arrested three accused persons on the spot.

Sources told Customs Today that an information was received by Collector Customs, Model Customs Collectorate (MCC-Peshawar) Qurban Ali Khan about a bid to smuggle the latest models of phones.

Sources added that as the smuggler passenger came out of the airport along with a person who received him at the airport and boarded on a car , the Customs mobile squad intercepted and arrested them, including driver of the car recovering 1,600 iPhones from them. The phones are confiscated.
