PESHAWAR: The Custom intelligence has thwarted an attempt to smuggle mobile phones via Peshawar Airport and confiscated cellular phones worth Rs 30 million.

Sources said that customs intelligence received a tip-off that mobile phone would be imported illegally from Hong Kong via Dubai through Bacha Khan International Airport. The mobile phones were successfully taken out from the airport, however, the customs intelligence anti-smuggling unit comprising Syed Nasir Bukhari and inspector Mohammad Ayaz flagged down the car at Bara Road and arrested three persons from a car PE-737 along with illegally imported cellular phones.
