ISLAMABAD: Following special instructions from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to curb smuggling in the region, the Peshawar Customs conducted many successful raids seized smuggled items worth Rs 100 million in the month of April.
Peshawar Customs Deputy Collector Muhammad Amin told Customs Today that the anti-smuggling campaign is continuing very successfully in the North Zone.
He said that with the devoted interest of Peshawar Collector Qurban Ali Khan, the authorities in the North Zone made many successful seizures during the last month and seized non-custom paid vehicles and other goods worth millions of rupees.
The deputy collector said that the Peshawar Customs North Zone seized imported fabric, black tea, electronic goods, tyres, spare parts and different types of goods worth Rs 100 million.
