Peshawar Customs to hold auction on 14th, 15th

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar will hold auction of confiscated smuggled goods and vehicles on December 14-15 2016.

The custom will present different kinds of vehicles parked at Abbottabad Customs Station ad warehouse located near Mardan. It will also present various goods, including auto parts, LEDs, tyres, black tea, fabric and others

Officials said that revenue of Rs 30 million is expected through this upcoming auction, adding that the department collected Rs 20.06 million through auction during November 2016.

During July-August 2016, the collectorate collected customs duty to the tune of Rs 21.62 million through auction of miscellaneous goods, while it collected Rs 10.51 million as customs duty during same period of last fiscal year.

The Peshawar Customs collected Rs 4.18 million in the wake of sales tax during July-August 2016, while it collected Rs 2.19 million during last year. It also collected additional income tax to the tune of Rs 2.99 million during two months of the running year, besides collecting Rs 1.89 million during last year.
