Peshawar dry port collects Rs1998m in four months

ISLAMABAD: With special instructions of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Peshawar dry port collected Rs1998.19 million duty and taxes during July-October in financial year2016-17 on imports, the collection during same periodin FY2015-16 was Rs1949.15 million.

According to details, Peshawar dry port collected Rs491.48 million all duties and taxes during month of October 2016-17 and in the same period in FY2015-16 it collected Rs533.09 million on imports.

It is told that during the month of September 2016-17 the dry port collected Rs450.17 million as for as it collected Rs491.04 million during same period in FY2015-16.

Customs sources added that during month of August FY16-17 Peshawar dry port collected Rs618.50 million as for as the dry port collected during same period of financial year 2015-16 Rs487 million.

It is further told that during month of July FY2016-17 the Peshawar dry port collected all duty/taxes under value of Rs438.04 million as compare to financial year July 2015-16 the Peshawar dry port collected all duty/taxes amounting Rs437.53 million.

Sources added that during first four month July to October FY16-17 the dry port collected Rs627 million only on import duty as well as during same period in financial year 2015-16 it collected revenue in shape of import duty amounting Rs663 million.

The sources added that during various head of fines, penalties and pay order the dry port collected Rs.14.99 million during October FY 2016-17 and during same period in FY 2015-16 the dry port collected Rs.2.26 million as for as during first four month July to October 2016-17 it collected Rs59.80 million and during same period of 2015-16 the dry port collected revenue with head of fine, penalty and pay order amounting Rs.46.260 million.

The Peshawar dry port collected import regulatory duty (IRD) during month of October 16-17 amounting Rs.24.42 million and during same period of 2015-16 the dry port collected Rs.15.33 million, the sources adding that during first four month of financial year July-October 2016-17 the dry port collected IRD amounting Rs.97.23 million as for as during same period of FY2015-16 it collected Rs.46.26.
