Peshawar Dry Port collects Rs222.6m from July to 22nd November 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Customs Dry Port collected Rs 2226.03 million under the head of all duty and taxes from July to 22nd November, 2016-17.

Sources of Customs Collectorate told Customs Today that during above said period dry port collected revenue head of custom duty amounting to Rs.699.94 million, while other taxes amounting to Rs.67.54 million were also collected.

The sources said that during the period from July to 22 November 2016-17 Rs105.70 million were collected under the head of regulatory duty, the total collection.

Peshawar dry port collected Rs849.46 million under the head of head of sales tax, the sources further said that dry port Peshawar collected revenue head of sales tax on imports amounting to Rs.133.76 million.

Dry port collected revenue during July to 22 November FY16-17 head of additional income tax amounting Rs.356.42 million and collected revenue head of federal excise duty on imports amounting to Rs.3.91 million. Sources said that dry port collected Rs13.21 million revenue during above said period head of federal excise duty on imports.

Sources said  under the supervision of Collector Qurban Ali Khan dry port Peshawar working with full devotion and earning good amount of duty taxes, adding that staff of dry port Peshawar is fully cooperate with business community of KPK to get more better results regarding revenue collection while on the other hands Customs collectorate is optimistic that due to their hectic efforts the Collectorate will achieve revenue collection target. Customs Collectorate Peshawar working on different strategies to collect more revenue during current fiscal year 2016-17.
