Peshawar Dry Port collects Rs2602.43m from July to November FY2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Dry Port collected Rs.2602.43 million under head of all duty and taxes on imports during first five months (July to 30th November 2016-17) of current financial year (FY).

According to details told by sources of Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar that performance of dry port was excellent during the above said period, adding that dry port collected customs duty amounting to Rs.820.31 million while it collected revenue of Rs78.33 million under head different various duty taxes.

The sources said that during first five month of current Fiscal Year 2016-17 the dry port collected revenue Rs.123.56 millions under head of reduction duty (RD) while dry port collected Rs.1022.20 millions under head of total collection of customs duty.

The sources added that during above said period of current financial year the dry port collected amounting Rs.990.86 million under hear of sales tax (ST) as for as the dry port collected revenue amounting Rs.155.13 million under head of ST VM Com_imp.

He said that dry port collected revenue of Rs.417.34 million under head of additional income tax (AIT) adding that during above said period the dry port Peshawar collected revenue amounting Rs.7.60 million under head of federal excise duty (FEDI) on imports.

The sources told that during first five months of current financial year the Dry Port collected Rs.9.30 million under head of (FEDI of 2.50%) in this way the dry port collected revenue amounting Rs.16.90 million under head of total FEDI.

Sources aid that Dry Port Peshawar is showing outstanding performance under the supervision of Collector MCC Peshawar Qurban Ali Khan with sprit to facilitate the business community working through Peshawar Dry Port.
