Peshawar Dry Port generates Rs 2,842m until June 25

ISLAMABAD: The Model Custom Collectorate, Peshawar’s Dry Port collected Rs 2842.59 million in the wake of duty/taxes until June 25 of current fiscal year 2015-16.

The dry port generated Rs 1157.24 million as customs duty, Rs 119.04 million as federal excise duty (FED) and Rs 15.39 million under the head of sales tax during the said period.

Peshawar Customs Collector Qurban Ali Khan said that bonded and import departments of the dry port showed satisfactory performance in collection of duty/taxes.

As per details, the dry port bagged Rs 116.02 million during first 25 days of June, 2016 that include Rs 67 million customs duty, Rs 810,000 sales tax and Rs 6.49 million FED and other taxes.

In May 2016, it collected Rs 228.42 million, including customs duty Rs 91.3 million, sales tax Rs 2.26 million, FED Rs 8.65 million and other taxes.

In April 2016, it generated Rs 81.41 million as customs duty, Rs 800,000 in wake of sales tax and Rs 8.32 million as FED, while total collection stood at Rs 201.59 million.

It received Rs 273.96 under all duty/taxes, including Rs 112.08 million as customs duty, Rs 2.14 million sales tax and Rs 11.51 million FED during March, 2016.

In February, it collected Rs 199.68 million, including Rs 89.4 million as customs duty, Rs 400,000 sales tax, Rs 8.22 million under the head of FED and other taxes.

In January, the dry port generated Rs 222.34 million, including Rs 95.35 million customs duty, Rs 1.19 million sales tax, Rs 9.62 million FED and other taxes.

During December 2015, the collection of customs duty stood at Rs 102.51 million, sales tax at zero and FED at Rs 10.75 million, while it also collected other taxes generating total revenue to the tune of Rs 253.36 million.

During November 2015, the collection of customs duty stood at Rs 101.8 million, sales tax at Rs 2.85 and FED at Rs 11.75 million and it also collected other taxes generating total revenue of Rs 222.34 million.

It collected Rs 261.37 million during October, including Rs 107.35 million customs duty, Rs 1.41 million sales tax, Rs 11.75 million FED and other taxes.

In September, it generated Rs 104.74 million as customs duty, Rs 400,000 as sales tax, Rs 11.74 million under the head of FED and other taxes. The total collections of the dry port remained Rs 273.26 million during the said period.

The Peshawar Dry Port collected Rs 311.41 million total revenue in August 2015, including customs duty Rs 118.89 million, sales tax Rs 2.73 million, FED Rs 12.74 million and other taxes.

In July 2015, it bagged Rs 206.45 million total revenue in August 2015, including customs duty Rs 85.41 million, sales tax zero, FED Rs 8.50 million and other taxes.
