Peshawar Dry Port generates Rs72.16m of all duty & taxes during 15 days of July

PESHAWAR: The Dry Port of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar earned Rs72.16million of All Duty and Taxes during the 1st to 15th of July Financial Year FY2017-18.

According to details given by sources of MCC Peshawar that during above said period, the Dry Port Peshawar showed good performance under all the heads. During said period, it earned Rs21.41million of Customs Duty (CD) while it collected Rs0.62million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges.
During the 1st to 15th of July FY2017-18, the dry port received Rs7.40million of Redemption Duty on Imports and it did Rs25.87million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas the Dry Port Peshawar generated Rs4.46million of ST on Imports. During above said period, the dry port got Rs12.40million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).
Regarding corresponding financial years, the sources told CT that the Dry Port Peshawar earned Rs2972.31million of Customs Duty (CD) during FY2016-17 while it did Rs2447.16million under the same head during corresponding FY2015-16.
During FY2016-17, the dry port generated Rs2853.64million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs2322.67million during corresponding FY2015-16 under the same head.

The dry port received Rs1251.05million of Additional Income Tax during FY2016-17 while it collected Rs990.23million under the same head during corresponding FY15-16.
The sources stated that during FY16-17, the dry port collected Rs41.25million of Federal Excise Duty on Imports during FY2016-17 whereas Dry Port Peshawar earned Rs44.22million of FEDI during corresponding Financial Year 2015-16.
