Peshawar I & I generates Rs16.04m of all duties and taxes during July to August

PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Peshawar collected Rs16.04million of All duties and taxes from July to August Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.

According to details explained by sources of Intelligence and Investigation Peshawar that, during above said period, I&I held auctions of various kinds of impounded goods and a Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) offending vehicle. During the 1st of July to 31st of August FY17-18, Intelligence and Investigation generated revenue by auctioning off items of Rs12.10million under the head of miscellaneous duties and taxes while it earned Rs2.51million of Sales Tax (ST).
The sources told CT that, during above said period, the Directorate of I&I Peshawar received Rs1.43million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).
