Peshawar I&I earns Rs11m through auction of NDP goods & vehicles

PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) earned Rs11 million through auction of non-duty paid goods and vehicles on 20th July 2018.

Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Arslan Subuktageen supervised the whole auction process which was held in the premises of the directorate.

He said that during the auction, 18 non-duty-paid (NDP) vehicles were present for auction, out of these 10 vehicles were sold on reasonable prices.

He said that people from all over the KPK attended the said auction which was well-organized under Customs Act of 1969.

He notified that after his joining as Director Customs I&I KPK the department held two major auctions and those were conducted very professionally and successfully.

He added that these auctions generated more than Rs25 million in April whereas the said auction was organized during first month of FY2018-19 for which maximum publicity was made in Peshawar and its surroundings so more and more auctioneers can participate in the public auction at premises of Directorate of I&I Peshawar.

The Director I&I told that staff of the Directorate showed outstanding performance as a team while staff was using all the available latest tools like laptops, softwares and internet facility to maintain vigilance within jurisdiction of KPK to discourage anti-smuggling activities and to promote the genuine business.
