Peshawar I&I foils attempt to clear imported consignment through mis-declaration

PESHAWAR: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation foiled an attempt of tax evasion through mis-declaration at Peshawar dry port and seized goods during clearance process.

Sources told Customs Today that a tip off received by Director Customs Intelligence Dr. Arsalan Subactageen regarding clearance of consignment via mis-declaration. The director appraised anti-smuggling squad regarding the alleged tax evasion and directed to re-examine glasses consignment. After re-examination, there were 50000 brands of glass in the consignment.
