LAHORE: A petition against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been re-lodged in Lahore High Court (LHC) to start proceedings against him in money laundering case.
Barrister Javaid Iqbal Jafferi filed the petition in the LHC. Taking a view that Mian Nawaz Sharif allegedly transferred billions of rupees abroad, he urged the court to issue orders to disqualify him as a member of the National Assembly.
It is important to mention here that the LHC division bench has recently dismissed a 24-year-old petition against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif carrying money laundering charges by declaring it inadmissible, which was also filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafree in 1991.
