Petrol, diesel prices cut by Rs1.97 per litre each

ISLAMABAD: The Petroleum Division has issued a notification confirming the revision in fuel rates. The new price of petrol has been set at Rs297.53 per litre.

The new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs309.50 per litre. The revised prices will come into effect from midnight and will remain applicable for the next seven days.

Moreover, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification increasing the price of kerosene oil by Rs3.64 per litre.

Following the revision, the new price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs231.14 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs227.50 per litre.

On the other hand, the federal government has revised the petroleum levy rates on petrol and diesel.

The levy on petrol has been increased by Rs6.22 per litre, taking it to Rs70.36 per litre, while the levy on high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs6.22 per litre, bringing it to Rs70.82 per litre.

Meanwhile, the levy on kerosene has been maintained at Rs20.36 per litre, and the carbon levy on petroleum products remains unchanged at Rs5 per litre.
