ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, during a press briefing, has said that the government has decided not to change the prices of all petroleum products for the next month (May).
Dar said after making adjustment in sales tax and petroleum levy, the prices of the products would remain unchanged for next month. He said due to change in prices of petroleum products in the international market, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had recommended to increase the price of high octane by Rs9.43 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs 2.11 and light diesel oil by Rs3.38 per litre.
However, after the approval of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the government decided to keep the petroleum prices same for the month of May.
