PFA’s issues warning to 89 poultry farms for unhygienic conditions

LAHORE: The teams of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has started checking of poultry farms in different cities of the province.

During checking of 218 poultry farms, PFA teams issued warning to 89 poultry farms for unhygienic conditions and destroyed around 900 infected chicks in 18 farms.

The teams checked 47 farms in Lahore, 29 in Multan, 46 in Faisalabad, 21 in Bahawalpur, 29 in DG Khan, 19 in Sargodha and 47 in Gujranwala division.The teams also collected samples of feed which was sent to food laboratory for analysis.An official of the authority while talking to the media men said that stern action would be taken in the form of cancellation of licenses of farms against those involved in providing unhygienic white meat to people and giving poor quality feed to chicks.
