PFC all set for 2nd Interiors Expo-2014 from Dec 5

LAHORE: Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) has completed all-out arrangements for the three-day 2nd Interiors Pakistan Expo-2014 scheduled to be started from December 5th at Expo Centre.

The expo aims at promoting and introducing Pakistani interiors, furniture and accessories in the country and abroad. Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) CEO Kashif Ashfaq made the announcement at a press briefing here.

From Workman Shahzad Mughal, Mohkam Furnishers Maqbool Elahi, The Furniture Gallery’s Amna Saeed, In Design’s Ghazala Rehman, Studio’s Omar Nabi and Interwood’s Malik Farooq were also present on the occasion.

According to the PFC CEO, all leading furniture brands and interior designers put their products on display at the exhibition. He said that entrepreneurs and CEOs of furniture companies would also meet with senior architects and interior designers to discuss trade opportunities, supply chain challenges and way to promote Pakistani furniture in the global market.

It is to be noted that the PFC was set up as a Non-profit company under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance, by leading furniture entrepreneurs to promoting the furniture sector.

The council striving hard to push the government enhance trade and manufacturing beyond the furniture hubs including Chiniot, Gujrat, Peshawar and Gojra. The council aims at expanding the outreach, where skilled artisans and carpenters convert wood into art.
