LAHORE: Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) delegation on Saturday left for Hong Kong on a three-day visit to explore new markets and fully exploit business opportunity abroad in furniture sector besides strengthening and promotion of existing bilateral trade relations.

While talking to journalists, PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq said, “Our efforts will be to change the narrative about Pakistan. We want to convey the bright and soft image of Pakistan to investors based in Hong Kong in regard of emerging new opportunities of investment in Pakistan after functioning of CPEC. The PFC is interested in displaying made-in-Pakistan furniture items in Hong Kong to give the message to international buyers that Pakistan is a manufacturing hub of world class furniture. Highlighting PFC business outlook, he said that Pakistani furniture should be introduced in Hong Kong market more effectively. He said that Hong Kong and Pakistan should join hands to give a new strength to their trade and economic ties. Both have dynamic consumer markets and an unlimited scope for their businessmen, he added.
