MANILA: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Thursday said it expects to generate P23.759 million revenue from containers at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) scheduled to be auctioned on October 4.
In an emailed statement, the Auction and Cargo Disposal of the MICP will bid out 17 lots of various goods. The bureau underscored that the auction is in line with the provisions of Section 2601 to 2610 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines, in relation to Customs Administrative Order 10-2007 and other relevant Customs memorandum orders.
Various goods up for bidding include two 40-footer containers of Mizuno golf bags with a floor price of P4.065 million, seven 40-footer containers of seven units of used dump truck trailer and parts pegged at P1.050 million.
Other merchandise that would be auctioned are: one unit of 2003 Chevrolet Venture, rice roller milling machine and parts, four sets computerized embroidery machines, four containers of 14,640 assorted colored helmets, one lot containing blank CD/DVD and CD/DVD casing, and cartons of toy trumpets pegged at a floor price of P1.636 million.
Also to be auctioned are copper waste and scrap, ceramic basin, ceramic pillars, stainless steel bollers, plastic packaging, women’s shoes, rubber slip-ins and slippers made in Brazil, submersible pumps, zinc alloy Ingot bars, catalytic converter, aluminum screen and extrusion, Japan-made rice wine, purling or box rail, and metal scraps.
A public viewing of merchandise and pre-bid conference is on September 30 and October 3 at the International Container Terminal Services Inc., BOC noted.
