MANILA: Authorities arrested a big-time female drug pusher and seized some P4.5-million worth of suspected shabu in a drug bust in Mati City, Davao Oriental here the other day.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao Region, in coordination with the Mati City police, conducted the operation around 5 p.m. at Nazareno St., Central Poblacion in Mati City.
Arrested was Estela Pormanis Salazar, 40, married, and a resident of Purok Ilang-ilang, Upper Salazar of Barangay Central.
Operatives seized a total of 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P4.5 million.
The suspect is currently detained at the Mati City police station while the seized illegal drugs were submitted to PDEA Davao laboratory for further examination. He is facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
