BUTUAN CITY: Two persons, one of them a minor, were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Butuan City here the other day.
The Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs – Special Operations Task Group (RAID-SOTG) and the City Anti-Illegal Drugs – Special Operations Task Group (CAID-SOTG) jointly conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maon.
The suspects are identified as AJ Tahir, 26, and a 17-year-old known only as “Johaiber.” Both are residents of Marawi City.
Recovered from their possession were three big plastic bags containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 175 grams, worth P2,065,000; P1,000 marked money; a caliber .38 revolver with 18 rounds ammunition; a black motorcycle without license plate; two cellular phones and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are temporarily detained at Butuan City Police Station 1 while the confiscated shabu was submitted to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Appropriate charges against the suspects are being prepared for filing in court.
