ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to increase salary package of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brand Hildon, from Rs 1.2 million to Rs 2 million despite his “incomplete security clearance”.

Hildon is a German national who has a wide range of experience in the aviation field and has served in Lufthansa Airline for around 40 years. While talking to a local new agency, the PIA’s spokesperson said the matter of salary package of Brand Hildon was under consideration and decision in this regard would be taken in the next board meeting.

However, he said that current salary package was not compatible with the status of Hildon and it was a matter of pride that a man of high calibre like Hidon is working in Pakistan. “Performance of the PIA has improved following his appointment,” he claimed. As for as the matter of his [Brand Hildon] security clearance is concerned, he said that the authority was striving hard to solve it at the earliest. He said that Hildon was not being paid handsome package as compared to the chiefs of other corporations.
