KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has included fifth A320 aircraft into the fleet.
On the occasion, PIA Managing Director Shahnawaz Rehman said with newer versions of fuel-efficient aircraft, the employees would have to put in extra efforts for turning around the corporation to achieve the desired goal of revival of the national flag carrier.
He said the airline was in the process of increasing capacity by inducting aircraft into its fleet and had initiated the process of acquiring airplanes through a transparent and competitive bidding process. The airline now has five A320 aircraft while eight more A320 narrow-body aircraft will be added by July this year.
