KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has collected Rs20 million by auctioning four out of seven aircraft it had put up for sale.

Sources said that all the seven planes include Boeing 747 and 737s and Airbus A310s, while A310s could not secure a single bid. The successful bidder will be given custody of the aircraft upon furnishing 25 per cent of the total amount. Nine companies, including a private airline, took part in the bidding process.
