LAHORE: Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) is pleased to learn that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is planning to give some incentive, like tax credits, to new and existing filers of income tax returns to ensure timely return filing and encourage compliance.

PIAF Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice Chairman Tanveer Ahmed Sufi and Vice Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb expressed these views in a meeting here Tuesday. They said there is a dire need to give some kind of incentives to new and regular filers in the form of tax credit for filing returns within the prescribed time period, this thing will encourage the new comers who want to come in tax net.PIAF office-bearers also urged the FBR must focus on controlling under-invoicing, curbing smuggling and expanding the tax net.
