LAHORE: A citizen has filed a plea in the National Accountability Bureau against Punjab University Vice Chancellor Mujahid Kamran against his alleged irregularities in fresh appointments.
According to sources of Customs Today, a citizen of Lahore in his application said that Mujahid Kamran is involved in corruption and irregularities in the Punjab University.
In his petition, the citizen complains that Mujahid Kamran appointed officers, lecturers and professors in grade 18 to 20 according to his own wish and which is not as per criteria of the Pakistan Service Rules. Appointment of grade 18 to 21 officer’s directly is a violation of rules and law so NAB should starts investigation against Mujahid Kamran.
The applicant further says that due to these appointments, including appointment of a registrar, the government is bearing burden of extra Rs 20 million per month.
The applicant demanded free and fair investigation and impeachment of the vice chancellor.
