Plugging of revenue leakage and broadening of tax net will ultimately benefit existing tax payers : Nazir Ahmad Shoro

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue is trying its best to facilitate taxpayers with automated system for filing of tax returns without any obstacles. Taxes are main source of any country for the development in the contemporary world and e-filing of Income tax returns has promoted tax culture in the country to a great extent. It was stated by Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan (Inland Revenue) Nazir Ahmad Shoro during meeting arranged by Multan Tax Bar Association in order to discuss the existing tax issues. Commissioner Corporate Zone Bahadar Ali Shah and Commissioner Appeal Farrukh Majeed and Commissioner Multan Zone Asim Haleem were also present.

Chief Commissioner Nazir Ahmad Shoro stated that lawyers of tax bar association plays a role of bridge between taxpayer and the Federal Board of Revenue in the manner of tax policy. Chief Commissioner told that broadening of tax net will strengthened national economy and it will also help to run their affairs. He said that plugging of revenue leakage and broadening of tax net will ultimately benefit the existing tax payers in terms of lessening in heavy taxation.

He said that Tax Bar Association has always vital role in the revenue collection of Federal Board of Revenue Pakistan and you are also the representatives of the Federal Board of Revenue which act together with their taxpayers of the country. He told that Tax Bar Association is awaking tax payers in the country about the taxes for the tax collection campaign.

He expressed in his address that there is a clear distinction between the filers and non-filers. He stated that Taxpayers will get the benefit of their paid taxes with the passage of time through various tax incentives for their encouragement on the regular payment of their due taxes with fairly.

He told the participants of the Multan Tax Bar Association that Federal Board of Revenue is adopting zero tolerance policy against the tax evaders to curb tax evasion in the country for the collection of taxes. He said that we need to cultivate the tax culture through the payment of our taxes in the society for the progress  like the developed nations of the world.The Federal Board of Revenue is focusing on documentation of economy which will boost revenue tax collection and and tackle informal economy.

He received the various complaints of the Members of the Multan Tax Bar Association about the tax system IRIS in filing tax returns and he ensured them to eliminate the existing flaws very soon. Senior Members of Multan Tax Bar Association Muhammad Younas Ghazi ,Mueed Khawaja ,Asad Khalid,Shahid Saleem  along with Muhammad Imran Ghazi, Harris Talat, Waqas Khalid, Mian Khalid, Ishfaq Ahmad Nadeem ,Amir Rasool and others also discuss about the plans of Federal Board of Revenue for effective tax collection in the country during meeting.
