KARACHI: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Secretary Finance to re-examine the policy of death benefits in connection with the “Assistance Package” for families of the government employees, who died during service.
According to the office memorandum issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, Establishment Division stated that the death benefits notified vide the division’s office memorandum No. 8-10-2013- E2, dated 20th October-2014 shall remain in abeyance till the report of the committee is finalized.
It was stated that office memorandum has been circulated to all ministries, divisions, AGPR offices, federal employees benevolent and Group Insurance offices in Islamabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi and other cities.
