ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to expedite work on the LNG-powered electricity projects.
The premier was given briefing on LNG import and the related power projects in the country here at Prime Minister’s House.
The Premier was informed that 3,600MW electricity, generated through LNG, will be added by summer 2017. Nawaz directed that all activities should be conducted and executed in accordance with relevant state laws.
He said that no stone should be left unturned to ensure timely completion of LNG power projects as per committed schedule and Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Water and Power shall work in close coordination to complete the projects.
