ISLAMABAD: Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Heather Cruden has called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed trade ties, political matters and anti-terror measures.
The PM advocated close cooperation between Pakistan and Canada in regional security, political and economic fields. He said relations between the two countries were based on strong foundation of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation, said an official statement.
He said Pakistan valued its relations with Canada as partners in the common endeavour to promote global peace and stability, and fight against terrorism.
Highlighting Pakistan’s unmatched sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, the Prime Minister said Pakistan regarded all regional and global initiatives to combat militancy, extremism and terrorism as essential.
