Businessmen laud PM for launching 1000MW solar power plant in Bahawalpur

KARACHI: The Patron-in-Chief Korangi Association of Trade and Industry and Chief Executive Officer CEO SM Muneer, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan and President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui —  while highly appreciating the inauguration of first ever 1000MW power plant by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Bahawalpur, said that Pakistan would be self sufficient in electricity by 2018.

They further said that like in the previous term Nawaz Sharif proved that Pakistan is unconquerable by atomic explosion, at this time he proved that Pakistani nation is eager to bring economic revolution.

CEO TDAP S M Muneer said that high hope seen in the eyes of Pakistani nation can be compared with the nation of other countries and now it is high time that the business community offers its utmost support to him.

He said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the hero of entire nation and have the ability to bring economic revolution in the country.

“Due to the energy crises in Pakistan, the industrial sector was unable to meet the production demands, which hampered exports of the country, but now soon energy crises would be over and industrial sector would be able to produce more imports and exports and business activities would be increased”, he added.

President KATI Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui said that the government authorities should also utilize wind and coal for generating the electricity in addition to nuclear power, adding that the resources available in Pakistan are known to all and foreign investors should take advantage of lower interest rates.
