PM Secretariat asks FBR to send report on inspectors’ status

MULTAN: Prime Minister Secretariat has sought the report from the Federal Board of Revenue for not upgrading the status of inspectors working in the regional tax offices since 1991.

The Regional Tax Office Multan tax inspectors and Inland Revenue inspectors are working at the same designation without the up gradation of their job status.

According to the detail, Deputy Secretary Prime Minister Secretariat Wajahat Hussain has written the letter to Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Tariq Bajwa for the explanation.

Secretary has asked the FBR for the explanation on not upgrading the status of inspectors, despite the decision of Federal Service Tribunal Islamabad in the 45 days.

The Federal Service Tribunal Islamabad has decided the case of the up gradation of inspectors working at the Regional Tax Office Multan which has not been implemented so far.

The Federal Board of Revenue has ignored the decision of Federal Service Tribunal by not upgrading inspectors of Federal Board of Revenue working at the Regional Tax Office Multan.

The Federal Board of Revenue has upgraded the inspectors from 2013 despite of the decision of Federal Service Tribunal from 1991.
