PM to brief political leaders on CPEC: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Thursday said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has invited leaders of parliamentary political parties to brief them on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) here at PM House on May 13.

Ishaq Dar had announced, at a dinner hosted by former President and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari that a briefing for leaders of parliamentary political parties on CPEC would be arranged at the PM House, said a Finance Ministry statement issued here Thursday.

The briefing has been arranged, soon after Prime Minister’s return from his visit abroad, on the request of the Finance Minister, the statement added.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has already contacted the leaders of MQM, PPP, ANP and PTI by phone, on behalf of the Prime Minister, and extended them invitation to attend the briefing.
