Such initiatives by the private sector are extremely encouraging and will prove helpful in overcoming the energy shortage from Pakistan,” according to a PM House statement. Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd is the flagship company of Sitara Group.

The government is heavily investing in energy sector to rid the country of energy deficit by 2018. A policy of energy-mix focusing on diverse sources of energy is earnestly pursued at the government level.

The 40 MW coal power plant at Sitara Chemical Industries Ltd is the largest of its kind in the industrial sector of Faisalabad.

The plant’s boiler is based on Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion technology having the best automation system.

Continuous emission monitoring system is placed which monitors 24/7 the emission of the gases in the air to protect the environment.

The government is especially supportive of facilitating power projects by the private sector which would ease the burden on the national grid and enable the industrial sector to produce power to meet its requirements.
