PMEX index closes at 3,046 points

KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index has closed at 3,046 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 5.136 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,004, said PMEX statement on Wednesday.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 1.729 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 1.201 billion, WTI crude oil Rs 898.941 million, DJIA Rs 320.179 million, silver Rs 298.742 million, NSDQ100 Rs 290.374 million, platinum Rs193.982 million, copper Rs128.894 million, SNP500 Rs 47.880 million, natural gas Rs 18.750 million and Brent crude oil Rs 8.606 million.
