PM’s package for farmers to be completed soon

SARGODHA: The disbursement of money among cotton and rice farmers at the rate of Rs5,000 per acre would be completed soon in Tehsil Sargodha as over 3000 farmers have already been given the pay orders.

The remaining farmers, about 2000, would be given pay orders in next few days, said Focal person Farmer Package distribution centre for Tehsil Sargodha Amjad Ali Baloach while talking to APP.

Responding to a query about rush of farmers at distribution centres, he said that NADRA verification process takes time and this caused some delay. He said that pick and drop facility was being provided to farmers whereas seating arrangements were also good for the farmers.

Officials of Revenue department along with personnel of Police and Civil Defence departments were on duty at the centres, he added.
