TOKYO: Pokémon Rumble World announced free to play title for 3DS due out later this month. Nintendo just announced a new free to play (F2P) title arriving later this month on the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS family.

Entitled Pokémon Rumble World, the game will arrive on April 8 and will feature over 700 Pokémon from the original Red and Blue to the most recent Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire titles.

That will include Mega Evolutions and Primal Version variants from the most recent games and the other F2P Pokémon title Pokémon Shuffle.

The idea is that you must defeat wild toy Pokémon in the world before you can add them to your collection, as is the norm with Pokémon titles.

It has the classic action feel of the previous Pokémon Rumble series too, and as you collect toy Pokémon you can switch them in and out of battle.

However, to get to new areas you must travel by hot air balloon and only then will you find new toy Pokémon.

Balloons can be purchased using Poke-Diamonds, which are unlocked by completing specific stages, through StreetPass or by purchasing them with real-world cash through the eShop.
