WARSAW: The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) has named Poland among its 12 destinations to watch for the year 2016. The annual report identifies 12 destinations to watch that are expected to “capture our imagination in 2016”.
Along with Poland, other destinations that were named by ABTA were Abu Dhabi, Australia, Canada, China, France, Hawaii, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Peru, and Sri Lanka.
“It is always inspiring to see the incredible range of destinations and holidays available to people, trends in the rest of the market are also encouraging and show the ability of the travel industry to evolve and innovate to meet customer demand.” – says Mark Tanzer, Chief Executive of ABTA.
In 2016, the southern Polish city of Wrocław acts as Capital of European Culture and is expected to experience a boost in visitor numbers for the city and the Silesian region.
